The new TOI campus will provide teaching and living accommodation for up to 5000 students and teachers across a 13 ha site, encompassing the complete 15-year educational cycle from kindergarten to high school.
The ground floors of the teaching buildings are elevated to provide open flexible space, integrating with the landscape and sports facilities which form the heart of the school. Classrooms are accessed off south-facing reticulated corridors to create break-out spaces and to maximise natural ventilation and daylight penetration.
To retain as much green space as possible, central facilities including the sports centre, auditoria and refectory are housed within a podium with a landscaped roof that doubles as external play and teaching space.
